The Virginia based trio has grit, a mission, and a Classic debut album
On July 3rd 2019, WHRO’s Paul Shugrue debuted SIPPIN’ GLASS on Out Of The Box 89.5 FM. By summer 2021 the band’s follow up single, PLAY ME HOME, made his Best Of 2021 list. The oldest, new band to hit the airwaves is Faithful Kate on the Fusionbuzz Music Media Independent label. This unstoppable kindred spirit is on a mission with their debut album Classic. Lead singer, Lee Brinn, belts out whiskey soaked vocals for the trio that includes bassist John Houlihan and drummer Ron Thornburg. Liz Terrell and Casey Copeland weave a tapestry of harmony accenting the album’s Americana rock pulse. Classic sounds of Hammond B3 organ, piano, and slide guitar rip throughout the tracks leaving no doubt as to Faithful Kate’s creative intentions. The members of Faithful Kate proclaim “We are indeed family, a kindred spirit forged in friendship.” The band’s confidence is infectious as is their new album’s sound. They’re on a mission to introduce a new generation to fresh songs from their time. They’re album features an A list of local Tidewater musicians that helped them bring Classic to life. Jamie Lewis and Kasey Square share the spotlight on the Hammond B3 Organ and piano. Larry Berwald’s honey pepper slide guitar can be heard on most every track. Keith Lynch’s Texas blues guitar licks are featured on Sippin’ Glass, the bands debut single. Vocalists Liz Terrell, Casey Copeland, Troy Hedsbeth, and Nate Sacks belt out harmonies and harmonica melodies are delivered by Jeremy JB Bustillos and Joe Killinger. ~BUZZ – FusionBuzz Music Media
FAITHFUL KATE tracked and produced all but one of the songs for Classic at Master Sound Studios in Virginia Beach with owner/engineer Robert Ulsh. Sippin’ Glass, the band’s first single, was tracked, produced, and mastered at the FusionBuzz Music Media studio in Chesapeake Virginia.
